Hello! I’m Alison,
La Femme Health evolved from my passion to provide women with the care they deserve at the time they need it most.
I’m locally based on the Sunshine Coast, where I live with my husband, our two grown-up daughters, and our beloved dog, Queenie.
With thirty-six years of experience, I have maintained a strong interest in women’s health and cardiac disease. My mission is to combine both interests to deliver high-quality care for women in midlife.
After training at Liverpool University Medical School in 1990, I spent many years working in General Practice within the NHS and Medical Director of a private health clinic in London.
In 2014, I emigrated from the UK to the Sunshine Coast. Since then, I’ve held roles of Medical Director at a super clinic on the Sunshine Coast, and working in the Cardiology Department at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. I'm now a Senior Medical Officer for Queensland Health, providing virtual healthcare to patients following discharge from hospital or the Emergency Department.
Thoughout my career I have enjoyed working with women and I feel passionately about improving their midlife care.
I look forward to supporting you on your menopause journey
